Haiyan has intensified into a super typhoon to move towards west by north

This year's No.30 typhoon Haiyan has intensified into a super typhoon in this morning. At 8:00, its center located over the Northwest Pacific which about 2195 kilometers from east by south of Manila, Philippines (7.4°N, 139.7°E) with the maximum winds of scale 16.

Haiyan track forecast in next 48 hours from 8:00 today.


According CMA's forecast, Haiyan will continued to move towards west by north at the speed of 30 kilometers per hour and approach to central Philippines with gaining intensity. In next two days, it won’t influenced offshore areas of China.

 

The tropical depression of South China Sea track forecast in next 24 hours from 8:00 today.

 

In addition, the tropical depression of South China Sea located in southwestern South China Sea which about 220 kilometers away from Fiery Cross Reef of Nansha Islands. It will move towards southern coast of Vietnam at the speed of 20-30 kilometers per hour and land on these areas in this evening to night. Southwestern South China Sea will see scale 6-7 gale and scale 8-9 gust. (Nov.6)
