2017 agro-meteorology training course for developing countries is concluded in NUIST

On the afternoon of September 28, 2017 Agro-meteorology training course for developing countries was concluded in Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST). Trainees from 5 countries including Mongolia, Ukraine, Lao, and so on attended the closing ceremony.

Mr. Lei Zhaochong, Deputy Director of the training centre expressed his congratulations to these trainees and thanked them for their support during this training. He stated that agricultural development is inseparable from climate and weather. Accurate and timely meteorological services can expedite agricultural development. He hoped that trainees can apply what they had learned during the training in practice and facilitated agro-meteorological development in their respective countries.

One trainee delivered a remark on behalf of all trainees and said that during one-month learning and exchanges, they were not only informed of professional knowledge on agro-meteorology, but also conducted field trips in meteorological observation stations and so on, this experience will go a long way in their future work.
