On August 25, the first International Distance Training Course on WIGOS was opened online in Beijing. 251 trainees from 54 countries and territories have registered for this course. This training course was co-hosted by World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Regional Association II (Asia) and WMO Regional Training Centre Beijing.
The course mainly focuses on the functions and development of WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS). The training course will also introduce the responsibilities of Regional WIGOS Centre (RWC) Beijing, and cutting-edge observation technologies.
In recent years, CMA has striven to elevate the capacities of global monitoring, forecasting, and services. CMA has also given play to the role of RWC Beijing and World Meteorological Centre Beijing to fulfill its international responsibilities. (Sep.7)
