CMA activated a level three emergency response to Typhoon Mawar

The National Meteorological Center issued yellow warning of typhoon at 10:00 a.m. on September 1. This year’s 16th typhoon Mawar is expected to make landfall on eastern Guangdong coast September 3. For this reason, China Meteorological Administration (CMA) activated a level three emergency response to Typhoon Mawar at 11:30 a.m. today. It is required that the relevant meteorological sectors attached to CMA enter the emergency position immediately and put corresponding meteorological services in place. The potential affected areas such as Guangdong and Fujian are expected to sustain or adjust the corresponding emergency state according to local realities. (September 1)
