Cold wave brings gale and low temperature to hit central-eastern China

The National Meteorological Center continued to issue blue warning of cold wave at 6:00 a.m. on January 8. It’s forecasted that in today and tomorrow, influenced by stronger cold air, the temperature of most parts will drop by 6-8℃. On the morning of January 9, the lowest temperature of Henan, Hubei and Anhui will down to -8℃ to -13℃ while -3℃ to -7℃ temperature stays in Hunan, Zhejiang and Jiangxi. In next 24 hours, the precipitation of South China will be weakened when snow falls in Northeast China.

Gale and dropped temperature forecast. 

In this daytime to night, light to moderate snow or sleet will hit Northeast China, central-eastern Inner Mongolia, southern Hunan and northern Jiangxi. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rain will fall in southeastern South of the Yangtze River and South China.

Precipitation forecast.

From January 8 to 9, the temperature of southern Shaanxi, southern Yellow-Huaihe basin, the Yangtze-Hanshui basin, the Yangtze-Huaihe basin, central-eastern South of the Yangtze River, central-eastern South China, eastern Yunnan, central-eastern Inner Mongolia and Northeast China will drop by 6-8℃. In some parts of eastern Fujian, southern coast of Guangdong, eastern Yunnan, southeastern Heilongjiang and northeastern Jilin, the temperature will drop over 10℃. There will be scale 4-6 northerly winds in most central-eastern China.

Lowest temperature forecast.

Until January 13, the central-eastern China will remain low temperature and frozen. Then the temperature will rise gradually. (Jan.8)
