NMC continues to issue blue warning for cold wave of central-eastern China

In this morning, the temperature of southeastern Qinghai, central-eastern Gansu, central Shaanxi, central Shanxi, southern Hebei, eastern Yunnan, southern Fujian, central-southern Guangdong and northern Hainan will drop by 6-8℃ even 10-14℃.

The National Meteorological Center continues to issue blue warning of cold wave at 6:00 a.m. on January 29. From January 29 to February 3, the central-eastern China will continue to maintain low temperature state. The average temperature of Yellow-Huaihe basin, the Yangtze-Hanshui, South of the Yangtze River and South China will be 5-6℃ lower than the normal years. 

The lowest temperature forecast from January 29 to 31.

In the coming two days, there will be scale 4-6 northerly winds in western Gansu, central-eastern Inner Mongolia, northern North China and Shandong Peninsula. The temperature of Gansu, Qinghai, southern Shaanxi, northeastern South of the Yangtze River and eastern Yunnan will drop by 4-8℃ even over 10℃ totally. The lowest temperature of 0℃ line will move south to reach southern Zhejiang, central-southern Jiangxi, northeastern Guangxi and southern Guizhou.

Precipitation forecast from January 29 to 30.

From January 29 to 30, there will be light snow or sleet in central-western Gansu, southern Hunan and central-western Guizhou. Western Guizhou will get frozen rain. During January 30 and 31, weak rain and snow will hit eastern Southwest China, South of the Yangtze River and South China.  (Jan.29)
