The first national open laboratory for emergency early warning is set up

On May 8, National Early Warning Information Dissemination Center and 4 scientific research institutes and institutes of higher education like China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT),Academy of Broadcasting Science, Institute for Public Safety Research, Tsinghua University, and North China University of Technology signed an agreement to co-establish a national open laboratory for emergency early warning, aiming at beefing up scientific support and elevating warning dissemination core capabilities.

5 units will revolve around more accurate, efficient, wide-ranging information dissemination, rely on this open laboratory, pull together advantages, carry out in-depth collaboration in major national scientific research program declaration and implementation, project construction and scientific problem tackling, talent cultivation, and international exchanges, and elevate the global level of national research emergency event early warning dissemination.

Representatives expressed in unison that they would, in line with people-oriented and common development principles, explore their potentials in emergency early warning sector, ramp up scientific research level, and inject new dynamism into characteristic early warning information dissemination in the new era.
