NMC forecasts another cold air will hit central-eastern China tomorrow

In this morning, the heavy fog shrouded central Hubei, northern Hunan, southwestern Chongqing and northern Hainan Island. The visibility was less than 1 kilometer.

On February 1, there will be light to moderate snow in northern and southeastern Xinjiang, Tibet and Qinghai. Some parts will see snowstorm. 

Influenced by cold air and extratropical cyclone, scale 6-8 gale and scale 9 gust will blow Taiwan Strait, northeastern South China Sea and Bashi Channel.

From night of February 2, another cold air will influence central-eastern China from night of February 2. The temperature of North China and Northeast China will drop by 4-8℃. Light rain or shower will fall in the Yangtze-Huaihe basin, the Yangtze-Hanshui basin, South of the Yangtze River and Guizhou.

Light to moderate haze will disturb central-southern North China, western Yellow-Huaihe basin and Fen-Wei Plain. Central Inner Mongolia and South Xinjiang Basin will experience blowing sand or floating dust. 

In this morning, central-eastern Hubei, northern Hunan and northern Hainan will experience heavy fog. The visibility of some parts will be less than 200 meters.

During night of February 2 to morning of February 4, heavy fog will affect Beibu Gulf, Qiongzhou Strait and northwestern South China Sea. (Feb.1)
