More rain and snow will hit central-eastern China in next ten days

The National Meteorological Center forecasts that in next ten days, central-eastern China will experience more rain and snow weather.

During February 12 to 14, light snow or sleet will fall in North China, the Yellow-Huaihe basin, northern Yangtze-Hanshui basin, eastern Northwest China, central-southern Northeast China, northern Xinjiang and Tibet. Light to moderate snow will hit some parts of central Inner Mongolia, northwestern Beijing, northwestern and southern Hebei, southeastern Shanxi, northern Henan, northern Shaanxi and northern Shandong Peninsula. Yili river valley of Xinjiang and Nyalam County of Tibet will see snowstorm. The total snowfall of these areas will reach 1 to 7mm, or 8 to 12 mm in local areas. The newly increased snow depth will be 1 to 8 cm.

From February 17 to 19, the sleet or snowfall will occur again in the eastern Northwest China, southwestern Yellow-Huaihe basin, the Yangtze-Hanshui basin, and northern Yangtze-Huaihe basin.

In next ten days, the Yangtze-Huaihe basin, the Yangtze-Hanshui basin, South of the Yangtze River, South China, Chongqing and Guizhou will see more overcast and rain. The precipitation days will reach 6 to 8 days.

The meteorological experts suggest the public and related sectors to pay close attention the weather and traffic information, and take necessary measures to prevent from adverse effect. (Feb.11)
