Meteorological departments provide services for Spring Festival travel seasonHezhou municipal meteorological department activated meteorological services for Spring Festival travel season on January 10. It has rolled out meteorological service plan, formulated special service bulletins, released warning signals, and consolidated the joint coordination with departments like emergency response, transportation, agriculture, as well as culture and tourism. It has harnessed multiple channels and approaches like television, broadcasting, website, wechat, and microblog to disseminate warning information of disastrous weather and provide refined services.

On January 14, weather observatory of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao autonomous prefecture of western Hunan province released Spring Festival travel season weather forecast, and warned against light to moderate rain from January 15. Personnel went to the train station to provide service materials and remind people of weather changes. The meteorological department has also used myriad channels to maintain close contact with departments like transportation, power, telecommunication and tourism, and provide more targeted services.

  On January 16, meteorological staff from Jining municipal meteorological department of Shandong went to the bus station of Jining, disseminate meteorological science popularization, and carry out meteorological services for Spring Festival travel season, introduced about the recent weather conditions, and provide relevant materials.
