Recently, many places in China have entered the autumn. Some regions have seen frost. What about the process of entering autumn and if some regions have embarked on the journey to winter? The researcher, Yuan yuan from climate projection department of Beijing Climate Center has made explanations.
According to monitoring information of meteorological departments, by October 13, most regions of China except central-southern Guangdong, western Guangxi, and southern Fujian have entered the autumn. Northeast China, eastern Inner Mongolia, western North China, and northeastern Northwest China have entered the autumn in August. Southern Northeast China, southeastern North China, Huanghuai Region, Jianghuai Region, Jianghan Region, South of the Yangtze River Region, northern South China, and eastern Southwest China have entered the autumn in September. Compared with the same period of normal years, the time of entry into the autumn in North China and Northeast China is about 5 to 10 days later, and 10 to 20 later in southern North China. The time of entry into the autumn in southern regions to middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River is 5-20 days earlier.
Central-northern Northeast China, Inner Mongolia, and central-western Northwest China have entered the winter. Compared with the normal years, the time of entry into the winter in northern Northeast China and northeastern Inner Mongolia is later. (Oct. 14)
