NMC predicts more rain coming in southern China in the next one week

In the next one week, National Meteorological Centre (NMC) predicts that rain will become heavier in China compared with previous days. From the night of January 20 to the daytime of January 23, southern China will be exposed to light to moderate rain. The rain will lash eastern Southwest China, Jianghan Region, central-southern Huanghuai Region, Jianghuai Region, and South China. The cumulative rainfall will reach 5-20mm.

Heavy rain will grip northwestern Hunan, central Guizhou, eastern coastal regions of Zhejiang, and western Guangdong. Light to moderate snow or sleet will plague northern and southern Xinjiang, northern and eastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, northeastern Inner Mongolia, and central-eastern Northeast China.

From January 19 to 21, light to moderate haze will shroud central-southern North China, Huanghuai Region, and Fenwei Plateau. Heavy haze will blanket southern Hebei, central-northern Henan, and western Shandong. (Jan. 19)
