On July 9, one-month plum rain front ground-based and space-based joint observation experiment was rounded out in midstream Yangtze River rainstorm monitoring field scientific experimental base of China Meteorological Administration (CMA), Hubei Province.

At 10:00 a.m. on June 19, staff were scrutinizing cloud radar equipment.

At 11:01 a.m. on June 19, project members were recording relevant observation data on the plane

At 11:42 a.m. on June 19, project personnel were checking cloud system conditions during the flight.

At 13:00 p.m. on June 19, project personnel were flying sounding balloon.

During the experiment, the plane loaded with airborne cloud radar has conducted 9 cloud observation pilots for 30 hours.

It is informed that this experiment aims to explore the integrated application of ground and space-based multisource observation data, reveal the mechanism behind the impacts of vapor and environmental field conditions on precipitation and cloud emergence and development, and the coorelation between precipitation and microphysical structure in the cloud.
