This year’s 14th typhoon Yagi generated in Northwest Pacific

This year’s 14th typhoon Yagi, tropical storm level, has generated in sea areas of Northwest Pacific at 2:00 p.m. on August 8. The National Meteorological Center forecasts that it will enter into eastern sea areas of East Sea on night of August 11.

The tropical disturbance is active in South Sea. Influenced by it there will be heavy rain to rainstorm in Hainan Island, southwestern Guangdong and southeastern Guangxi from today.

On August 9, northern Ningxia, northern Shaanxi, Hetao area of Inner Mongolia and central-northern Shanxi will experience moderate to heavy rain and severe convective weather. From August 10, rain will hit central Northwest, North and Northeast China again.

Precipitation forecast

The National Meteorological Center continues to issue yellow warning of heatwave for continuous 27 days. It’s forecasted that on daytime of August 9, central-southern Guanzhong of Shaanxi, the Yellow-Huaihe basin, the Yangtze-Huaihe basin, the Yangtze-Hanshui basin, northeastern Sichuan Basin, South of the Yangtze River, central-eastern South China, western Gansu and South Xinjiang Basin will experience heatwave with 35-36℃ high temperature. The highest temperature of some parts in Guanzhong of Shaanxi, southeastern Henan, central Yangtze-Huaihe basin, central South of the Yangtze River, western and southeastern Hubei, northern Chongqing, northwestern Hunan and South Xinjiang Basin will reach 37-39℃.
