From August 16 to 17, most portions of Jianghuai Region, northeastern portions of South of Yangtze River Region, western and southern Sichuan Basin, northwestern Guizhou, southern Hunan, southern Jiangxi, western and southern Guangxi, southeastern coastal of Guangdong, western Hainan Island, southern Yunnan, southern Hebei, and western Henan will be exposed to heavy rain to rainstorm.  

The National Meteorological Center continued to issue yellow warning of rainstorm at 6:00 a.m. on August 16.

From August 16 to 17, heavy rain to rainstorm will lash central-southern Anhui and Jiangsu, northern Zhejiang, western and southern Guangxi, eastern coastal regions og Guangdong, and western Hainan Island. Heavy downpour(100-150mm) will pummel northeastern Zhejiang. Heavy rain will pound western and southern Sichuan Basin, southern Hunan, and southern Jiangxi. In these regions, there will be severe convective weather like short-range heavy precipitation (with the maximum rainfall intensity of over 20-50mm) gale, heavy precipitation, or sleet.

The National Meteorological Center continued to issue yellow warning of typhoon at 6:00 a.m. on August 16.

This year's 16th typhoon Bebinca made landfall around 9:40 p.m. on August 15 in the coastal areas of Leizhou, Guangdong. The maximum wind intensity was scale 9 (23m/s). The minimum air pressure was 985 hPa.   

This year’s 18th typhoon Rumbia(tropical storm scale) was centered around northern oceanfront of East China Sea 250 km away from eastern Zhoushan, Zhejiang (29.8°N, 124.8°E). It will move towards west by north direction at the speed of 10-15km/h with a mounting intensity and then make landfall along the coast from Taizhou, Zhejiang to Shanghai(tropical storm scale or severe tropical storm scale, scale 8-10, 20-25m/s) from the night of August 16 to the morning of August 17.
