| Dr. ZHENG Guoguang is a holder of PhD degree of science, a senior research fellow, an advisor of PhD students. Dr. ZHENG graduated from the Department of Atmospheric Sounding, Nanjing Institute of Meteorology (now renamed as the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology) and he received his Master Degree in Atmospheric Physics in 1984. |
| He once served as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Meteorological Sciences, and later the Deputy Director of the Operational Meteorological Centre, Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Regional Meteorological Bureau, CMA. |
| 1990-1995: a visiting scientist at the University of Toronto, Canada, pursuing his PhD and post doctoral studies; |
| 1996: Assistant to Director and later Deputy Director of the Overall Strategic Planning and Research Office, CMA; |
| 1997: Deputy Director General of the Fujian Provincial Meteorological Bureau; |
| 1998: Director General of the Department of Observations and Telecommunication; |
| 1999-2006: Deputy Administrator of CMA and a member of the CPC Leading Group, CMA. |
| 2007: Administrator of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and Secretary of the CPC Leading Group of CMA. |
