With regard to the management of technical equipment, the pure supply in the past has been replaced by a comprehensive management system, which covers a full process from early planning to selection and purchase of equipment, quality control, storage and supply, maintenance and calibration, upgrade and renovation and finally cancellation. In order to reach the objective of this new management system, CMA has approved "Regulations on Meteorological Equipment Management" and established an operational system, which consists of three different management levels (namely state, provincial and prefecture level) with each having its own responsibilities and specific tasks. Within such an overall structure, 5 sub-systems have been further developed for detailed management of supply, quality control, maintenance, environmental support and calibration respectively.
