Meteorological Continued Education and On-the-Job Training

   The special features and human structure of meteorological sector are taken into account when the continued education and on-the-job training are organized and implemented.

        Meteorological Continued Education is designed to renew, supplement, expand and enhance the knowledge and skills of those management officials, technical officers and business practitioners who hold an academic degree above the secondary school level in order to improve their knowledge mix, innovativeness and expertise.

        Meteorological On-the-Job Training is designed to provide prescribed training to meteorological staff as required by their posts in order to improve their political and professional competence and management capacity. It covers qualification-oriented training so that a staff employee is in a position to perform well at his or her present post or other potential post at the same or higher level.

        The CMA education and training framework consists of two levels, namely national and provincial.

        The initiative of meteorological continued education and on-the-job training is pursued according to a consolidated plan, which is managed as classified and categorized, with responsibilities identified and assigned clearly.
