During the first ten days of June it has been mainly sunny and hot in Urumchi of Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region. Since May high temperature has extended from plain areas to mountain areas. The average temperature of No. 1 glacier is 6.5℃ and Middle Zone of Nanshan Mountain 18.5℃, which both have broken the record since the year of 1951. The abnormal high temperature accelerates the melting of the glacier. (June 13)
