On June 17 the international training class for agricultural meteorology was completed in Nanjing University of Information Science & technology (NUIST). There are 24 students from 18 countries received training certificates.

    The training class lasted 30 days and the students were taught by way of on-site teaching, visiting, internship and exchange. The WMO Regional Training Center not only let the excellent meteorological professors of NUIST and invited many renowned agricultural meteorological experts to teach but also organized the students to visit and learn in Meteorological Bureau of Jiangsu, Jiangsu Province Radio Scientific Research Institute Co. ltd, Meteorological Bureau of Anhui and Meteorological Bureau of Shanghai and Huaxi Village.

    Manuel Ricardo Carvajal Ortiz, a student from Ecuador thought that the training was carefully arranged and organized from which they learn a lot. He said that he would contribute to the development of Ecuador by the meteorological knowledge. (June 19)
