According to forecast of  Shanghai Meteorological Observatory, in the forty-day passenger transport around the Spring Festival (from January 23 to March 2), Shanghai will have 17～23 rain days, higher than that of conventional years (18 days). Average temperature at the period will be about 6℃, higher than that of conventional years (5.6℃), but will fluctuate greatly between warm and cold. The extreme lowest temperature at this period will reach -2℃～ -4℃.

    Shanghai meteorological departments will try their best to provide meteorological service for the passenger transport around the Spring Festival.

    Shanghai's relevant departments railways, highways, airways and harbors are ready for severe weather and the emergency response plan will be further improved. (Jan.17)
