On the afternoon of May 6 the national conference on meteorological publicity work concluded in Beijing.  
  
   The conference called for changing idea, unifying thought, enhancing the awareness to the meteorological publicity work and the importance. The conference asked all the concerned departments to try best to do the publicity work. In order to do better in the publicity work there were four point stressed: first, continue to emancipate our ideology and reform and make good publicity of the spirit of the 17th national congress of CPC and the 30th anniversary of the reform and opening up; second, double effort to publicize meteorological work of the Beijing Olympic Games and the Disabled Olympic Games; third, keep on doing best in publicity for the work of meteorological disaster prevention and reduction; forth, actively publicize the grass root meteorological construction work.
