Recently the Qingdao Meteorological Bureau completed the second stage meteorological automation station for the Beijing Olympic sailboat racing. The second stage project includes 12 automatic meteorological stations. The project ended the history of lack of meteorological observation station in districts of Sifang, Shibei and Huangdao.     
 
   The completion of the project will greatly improve the distribution of the observation station system. The second stage of the automatic station will further promote the observation competence of the Qingdao Meteorological Bureau, which will lay the foundation of offering better meteorological service to the society and the upcoming Olympic Games.
