At 12 o’clock of May 14, after bumping for 4 hours, Wang Shourong, Deputy Administrator of China Meteorological Administration, arrived at Guangyuan Meteorological Office.
After the earthquake, the meteorological departments of Guangyuan have been tiding with a lot of difficulties such as loss of water, electricity, gas, and telecom and have tried their best in order to provide meteorological forecast service as soon as possible.
Wang Shourong fully affirmed Guangyuan meteorological departments’ work of earthquake relief and meteorological service.
After inquiring the suffering conditions of Guangyuan meteorological departments, Wang required them to further accomplish the forecast service work, resume the business and communication systems, properly arrange the life of the staff’s family members and be careful of the dangers of aftershocks.
It is reported that Sichuan Provincial Meteorological Bureau will distribute 100 thousand Yuan for the emergency disaster resistance of Guangyuan meteorological departments. (May 14)
