After the earthquake, China Meteorological Administration urgently distributed materials and equipments to support earthquake relief meteorological service of the local meteorological departments.

    According to statistics, with the cooperation of National Meteorological Information Center,  Meteorological Observation Center and many other departments, until now, CMA has distributed 2 DVB receivers, 1 LNB, 8 automatic meteorological stations, 3 satellite telephones, etc, to Sichuan, Gansu and other disaster regions. Most of those equipments have already reached disaster regions and have been available for use after installation and adjustment. Other equipments are still on the way. （May 16）
