May 16, Shen Xiaonong, Deputy Administrator of China Meteorological Administration organized the working group meeting to further deploy the combined coordination work of earthquake relief and meteorological support service.

    Shen expressed that all the working groups such as meteorological service group and propaganda group should fulfill their respective responsibilities and coordinate the work of disaster relief and meteorological support service. He emphasized that they should accomplish the work of transporting materials to disaster regions, monitoring and forecasting the secondary disaster, and coordinating aviation meteorological support. At the same time, they should strengthen the connection with disaster regions to learn their needs at 1st time. (May 16)
