This Year’s Rainy Season of Yunnan is 15 to 30 Days Earlier than the Past

    From 8 o’clock of May 17 to 8 o’clock of May 19, a strong precipitation process hit Yunnan Province. 101 weather stations (80 percent of Yunnan) reached the standard of rainy season. Compared with the past years, the rainy season of this year in most areas is 15 to 30 days earlier.

    The rainy season firstly began in Shaotong and Suijiang on April 21, respectively 31 and 25 days earlier than the past. 44 counties and cities began in end of April. Most areas of Central Yunnan began in early and middle May. (May 21)
