On June 8, after reading the relative conditions of preparations for meteorological service for 2008 Olympic Games which was reported by Zheng Guoguang, Administrator of China Meteorological Administration (CMA), Vice President Xi Jinping praised the work of CMA in the preparations for meteorological service for 2008 Olympic Games.

    Xi points out that the present meteorological service for 2008 Olympic Games has entered into “actual combat” stage, so CMA should try the best to provide first-class meteorological service for 2008 Olympic Games.

    Zheng Guoguang immediately responded and demanded the meteorological departments to implement the requirement of Xi Jinping and try the best to do the meteorological service for 2008 Olympic Games. (June 11)
