In the morning of June 19, bringing 4 most advanced meteorological sounding equipments of the world which valued 640 thousand Yuan, Zhang Jian, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Branch of Finnish Vaisala Company arrived at Sichuan Provincial Meteorological Bureau.

    Deputy Director of Sichuan Provincial Meteorological Bureau Zhong Xiaoping and Pang Hongkui came to welcome them and expressed their gratitude.

    As the largest meteorological and environmental equipments production firm, Vaisala has deeply cooperated with China Meteorological Administration and civil aviation departments for many years. After Wenchuan earthquake, the personnel of Beijing Branch of Finnish Vaisala Company deeply cared about the meteorological departments in the quake-hit area. On May 18, Mr. Kjell Forsen, CEO of Vaisala specially held a meeting to discuss the details of donation and determined to donate 4 most advanced meteorological sounding equipments of the world to Sichan meteorological departments and 2 to civil aviation departments. The Beijing branch immediately began to produce and finished the task for only 14 days, which was 42 days earlier than the normal time. (June 20)
