At 15:17 of June 29, Dari County of Qinghai Province suffered severe convective hailfall process, which lasted 1 hour and 5 minutes. The precipitation was 20.1mm. The maximum diameter of hail was 12mm and the depth of the hail on the road surface was 15cm.

    After the hailfall process, the whole county and the surrounding mountain have been covered with thick hail. The scene was similar to the winter.

    In the recent years, with the intensifying global climate change, extreme weather events are increasing dramatically. This hailfall process has been the heaviest one in the 20 years.
