Influenced by the weakening remnant circulation of this year’s No.6 tropical storm “FENGSHEN”, from 8 o’clock of June 24 to 8 o’clock of June 28, the total precipitation of 719 weather stations of Guangdong was more than 100mm, among which 2 stations suffered over 500mm heavy rainstorm.

    According to the statistics of relevant department, from June 25 to 27, 341.7 thousand local people of 7 cities, 14 counties and 93 towns of Guangzhou have been afflicted. 1258 houses collapsed, 16 people died and 6 missed. 64.375 thousand hectares of crops have been afflicted. 1237 factories and companied have stopped the production. The total direct economic losses have been 1.1573 billion Yuan.

    From 8 o’clock of June 28 to 8 o’clock of June 29, Guangdong suffered another precipitation process. Heavy precipitation was mainly in the coastal area from Maoming to Huizhou. According to the meteorological monitoring network, the precipitation of 12 monitoring sites was over 100mm. (June 30)
