From June 22, from the afternoon to evening, thunder shower continually hit Beijing. On June 23, Haidian, Shijingshan, Fengtai, Huairou, Yanqing, Fangshan and Daxing districts even suffered hail.

    According to the data of Beijing Municipal Meteorological Bureau, from January to June, the precipitation of the plain region of Beijing is 230.9mm, which is 55% more than the normal years and 49% more than the average precipitation of the past 10 years. The rainfall has supplied the groundwater of Beijing as well as relieved sultry weather.

    According to the latest meteorological data, on July 2, the continuous thundershower will end. On July 2 and 3, it will be sunny and the maximum temperature will rise to 33 to 35℃. So the citizens should make preparations for heatstroke control. However, on July 4 and 5, there will be another obvious precipitation process.

    Guo Hu, Leader of Beijing Meteorological Observatory said that in summer, the atmospheric circulation in the middle latitude region of Asia adjusts frequently, which causes the weather change. Therefore, the relevant departments and citizens should receive the forecasting and warning signals which are sent by Beijing Municipal Meteorological Bureau in time. The main flood season of Beijing goes from the last 10 days of July to the first 10 days of August, so during this period, Beijing may probably suffers heavy rain to rainstorm.
