Recently Inst. of Atmospheric Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shaanxi Zhongtian Rocket Technologies Co., Ltd held the check and acceptance meeting for new generation rocket YL-1 for artificially triggered lightning. The check and acceptance panel was constituted by 7 experts from Inst. of Atmospheric Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Municipal Meteorological Bureau, Cold and Arid Regions Environment and Engineering Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shaanxi Zhongtian Rocket Technologies Co., Ltd. The officials from Equipment Department of Comprehensive Planning Bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences took part in the on-site random flying test.    

  
    After the successful test all of the experts concluded that the technology qualification of the rocket reached international level, which marked the new generation of Chinese artificially triggered lightning rocket was successfully developed. (July 2)
