In recent days, Prof. Zhang Xuebing from Environment Canada was invited to visit National Climate Center (NCC) of China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and delivered 2 academic reports---“Changes in Climate Extremes” and “Detection and Attribution”. Relevant experts and researchers of NCC, Institute of Atmospheric Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences attended the academic communication.

It is reported that Prof. Zhang has a high international reputation in terms of attribution of climate change detection. He is also the main author of the chapter of climate change detection of IPCC AR5.
