In 2022, A Guideline on Promoting the "Outline for High Quality Development of Meteorology (2022-2035)"was officially issued, which puts forward the general ideas of high-quality meteorological development— five "ones" and two "threes".
Five "ones" refer to keeping in mind one positioning—meteorology is a science/technology-based, foundational and precursory service of social and public interests;defining one orientation—the provision of high-quality meteorological services; focusing on one main line—acceleratingthe meteorological modernization; buildingonesystem—a modern meteorological system that features the forerunning science/technology, sophisticated monitoring, precise forecasting and tailored services and people's satisfaction; emphasizing one key point— giving full play to the role of meteorology as the first line of defense against disasters.

Existing Laws and Regulations
With a focus on the strategic positioning of "safe life, robust production, affluent livelihood and sound ecology", the high-quality meteorological legislation supports thehigh-quality meteorological development.
Existing Meteorological Standards
Focusing on the needs of meteorological reform and development, it is necessary to steadily promote meteorological standardization to ensure the high-quality meteorologicaldevelopment.
