From April 2 to 7, heavy to severe snowfall is forecast for western and southern Canada, high-altitude areas of the northwestern United States, and the northern-central regions of the United States. Parts of southern Quebec and southern Ontario in Canada, Newfoundland Island, southern North Dakota, and northern Minnesota in the United States will experience heavy to extreme snowfall. Cumulative snowfall in these areas is expected to range from 10 to 25 mm, with some regions receiving 30 to 50 mm (Figure 1).
