From April 11 to 13, an extreme windy weather process occurred in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other portions of North China.
Beijing:
Beijing Municipal Meteorological Service and Beijing Municipal Administration of Government Services and Data Management jointly promoted the mini program “Jingtong” to launch an automatic pop-up function for high-level warnings, so that the public can receive real-time gale warning information and prevention guidelines on WeChat, Alipay and so on, as well as learn about hour-by-hour data of wind speeds and temperatures, and forecasts for the next 7 days. At the same time, meteorologists also attended TV programs such as “Beijing News” to guide the public in science-based precautions.
Tianjin:
On April 9, Tianjin Municipal Meteorological Service kept tabs on the impact of the time, intensity and scope of gale , focusing on reminding the process of the extremity. On the morning of April 10, the Service issued a succession of land gale, the sea gale orange warning information, and reinforced communication with other departments, and produced rolling updates of high wind conditions and forecast conclusions.

Hebei:
On April 11, Hebei Provincial Maritime Bureau launched gale yellow warning defense response, jointly with the Tianjin and Liaoning Provincial (Municipal) Maritime Bureau to issue a reminder of the major risks at sea, urging shipping companies, marine operators and others to guard against the impacts of gusty weather. Qinhuangdao Municipal Maritime Bureau tracked the meteorological sea conditions in real-time, for the protection of electric coal transportation, coordinating the port of the berthing of electric coal ships to implement the loading and transportation, which ensured that before the arrival of sustained gusts of wind all left the berth.

Inner Mongolia:
The cold air exerted a wide range of impact. The eastern portions of Inner Mongolia and other places also saw a significant drop in temperature and snowfall. Department of Education of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued an emergency reminder based on the weather forecast and warning information, requiring all schools to carry out timely campus safety risk investigation. The relevant departments of the New Barag West County according to the local meteorological warning information, promptly adjusted the itinerary of 615 tourists to ensure the personal safety of them.
