“China is willing to join hands with all nations to enable MAZU to transcend geographical boundaries, thereby safeguarding global security and development.” remarked by CHEN Zhenlin, Administrator of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) at the press conference held by the State Council Information Office (SCIO) on April 28.

During the press conference
In line with China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), CMA will expand global cooperation in meteorology and climate action.
Meteorological departments will deepen engagement in international governance and continuously upgrade #MAZU, China's solution for Early Warnings for All (EW4ALL) initiative of the United Nations (UN).

Evolving from China's practical experience into a global public good, MAZU will be optimized for wider global adoption and practical local use powered by advanced artificial intelligence (AI).
CMA aims to build a service brand of meteorology, advancing institutional connectivity of rules and standards, and people-to-people connectivity among partner countries.
Efforts will also focus on expanding training programs and strengthening collaboration through platforms like World Meteorological Centre Beijing.
