March 23 marks the 65th World Meteorological Day (WMD). This year's theme is "Closing the Early Warning Gap Together". To enhance public awareness and application capabilities regarding meteorological disaster warnings, meteorological departments across China have actively organized a series of themed activities. From engaging science popularization programs in schools to interactive online live streaming, from meteorological knowledge exhibitions to hands-on observation experiences. On March 23, Beijing Municipal Meteorological Service held a World Meteorological Day event at the Beijing Municipal Meteorological Observation Centre (Beijing Municipal Observatory), attracting more than 2,000 citizens.The public were experiencing holographic projection CAVE space. On March 20, in order to further popularize meteorological disaster prevention knowledge and guide students to actively explore meteorological mysteries, Tengzhou Meteorological Office of Zaozhuang, Shandong organized science popularization staff to come to Tengzhou Jingquan School to carry out World Meteorological Day science popularization campus activities, and more than 300 students participated. On March 20, Zhongshan Municipal Meteorological Department, Guangdong, together with a few primary and secondary schools carried out the activity themed "displaying weather phemonomena and safeguarding our blue home" . Students used brushes to depict typhoon defense knowledge, demonstrate the culture of 24 solar terms of China, and interpret the principle of artificial rain enhancement in cartoon form.
