On May 22, Shaanxi experienced a rainfall process in many places. Meteorological departments of Shaanxi seized the proper occasion, and quickly carried out artificial rain enhancement operation.

Since March 15 this year, the average precipitation of Xianyang has been less than that of the same period in normal years. Coupled with high temperature and windy days there, this has posed a risk to yield reduction and quality loss for winter wheat at the pustulation period.

The Operation has played a positive role in relieving the drought condition in farmland and reducing the forest fire risk level in several cities and counties in Xianyang.
