CMA adheres to the principle of people first and life first, and promotes meteorological services to ensure high-quality economic and social development. It safeguards the first line of defense for meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation, and predicts a sequence of large-scale heavy rainfall events and typhoon processes. Forest fire early warning is issued jointly by CMA, Ministry of Emergency Management, and National Forestry and Grassland Administration. Cross-sector cooperation has been strengthened and the “meteorology+” integrated development mode has been explored. Tailor-made services have been provided to 24 ministries (enterprises) according to meteorological service ledger. A regular coordination mechanism has been established with 31 departments and agencies and the meteorological services for central enterprises have been strengthened and coordinated. The transformation of weather modification has been promoted to ensure its further development. Meteorological services have been offered to agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation, ecosystem protection and restoration, and forest and grassland fire prevention and control. CMA also provide support for the high-quality development of key industries, such as agriculture, transportation and energy. The meteorological supporting capabilities for ecosystem protection and restoration have been reinforced. And the global services have been strengthened to promote meteorological cooperation along the "Belt and Road". The coverage and satisfaction of public meteorological services keep increasing and in 2022, the satisfaction rate of public meteorological service in China reached 93 points, setting a new historical high.
