On March 17, the Harbin Meteorological Department in Heilongjiang, China collaborated with Harbin Free Angels Kindergarten to organize a science study tour activity titled "Cute Kids Explore Meteorology: A Virtual Tour for Parents." Over 100 junior "meteorologists" delved into the mysteries of weather science through hands-on experience.
The event combined on-site visits with live streaming, allowing parents and the public to participate online. Staff from the meteorological department guided the children through a weather observation field, explaining the functions and operational principles of meteorological instruments while engaging them in interactive discussions. At the meteorological media center and weather forecasting/warning center, the kids transformed into "weather anchors" and "forecasters," immersing themselves in role-playing activities.
This activity not only expanded the kids’understanding of meteorology but also ignited their curiosity and eagerness to explore weather phenomena.
