Planning the operational development of weather forecast and climate prediction; planning in a unified manner the development and layout of the meteorological information networks on land and at sea across the country; managing the release of meteorological information, forecasts and warnings, climate impact assessment, short-term climate prediction, and space weather monitoring and warning on land and at sea across the country; organizing a joint trans-regional and inter-departmental preparedness campaign to combat major severe weather events; organizing and guiding the exploitation and conservation of climatic resources; managing and reviewing atmospheric environment impact evaluation and climate feasibility demonstration; planning and managing numerical forecasting operation, and being responsible for the management, development and application of networked meteorological data.
