The National Meteorological Center continued to issue a red category warning of typhoon at 10:00 a.m. . In this 10:00 a.m., Chan-Hom has weakened into a severe typhoom from super typhoon, located in northern East China Sea which was about 95 kilometers from southeastern Xiangshan county, Zhejiang province.

It will move towards northwest at the speed of 15-20 kilometers per hour and land in coast between Xiangshan and Zhoushan as severe typhoon in afternoon to evening today. After landing, Chan-Hom will pass eastern coast of Shanghai and enter into southern sea areas of Yellow Sea with decreasing intensity on July 12.

From today to tomorrow, Bashi Channel, Taiwan Strait, east sea areas of Taiwan, East China Sea, southern Yellow Sea, Diaoyu Island, mouth of Yangtze River, Hangzhou Bay, eastern and northern coast of Taiwan, coast of Fujian, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Jiangsu will get scale 7-9 gale. There are scale 14-16 gale in the sea areas where Chan-Hom center crossed. Heavy rain or rainstorm will hit Zhejiang, Shanghai, central-southern Jiangsu, southeastern Anhui, northeastern Fujian and Taiwan when northern Zhejiang, Shanghai and eastern coast of Jiangsu will get extreme rainstorm of 100-250mm.(July 11)
