On August 17, the second International Distance Training Course on WIGOS was opened on MOOC platform of China Meteorological Administration (CMA). By August 19, 218 trainees from 60 countries and territories have took part in the training online.

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has always attached vital significance to the construction of meteorological observation network and striven to construct functional and standardized global observation network.

It has also aimed to promote global, regional and national-level meteorological operational development combined with open data policy and strong real-time data exchange capacity. In 2021, Meteorological Observation Centre of CMA has become one of the two RWCs of WMO which became officially operational among the first batch.

As WMO Training Centre, CMATC has joined hands with MOC to fulfill their respective responsibilities, and contribute to elevating observation data quality in Asia and at the regional level, and promoting the coordinated observation capacity in RA II of WMO.
