Typhoon Muifa will bring strong windy and rainy weather to coastal regions of East China, East China Sea and Huanghai Sea

This year’s 12th typhoon Muifa is projected to make landfall in coastal regions of northeastern Zhejiang from the afternoon to the night of September 14 (typhoon scale or severe typhoon scale, scale 13 to 14).

Gale forecast: from the night of September 12 to September 17, scale 7-8 gale will shroud eastern coastal regions of China, and coastal regions of northern and eastern Taiwan Island, northern Fujian, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Shandong Peninsula. The gust may reach scale 9 to 10. 

Precipitation forecast: from the night of September 12 to September 15, heavy rain to rainstorm will slam northern Taiwan Island, central-northern Zhejiang, Shanghai, central-eastern Jiangsu, eastern Shandong, and eastern Liaoning. Heavy downpour will wallop northern Taiwan Island, northeastern Zhejiang, Shanghai, southeastern Jiangsu, eastern Shandong Peninsula, and southern East Liaoning Peninsula. (Sep. 13)
