On July 22, 2024, Typhoon Prapiroon landed in the coast of Wanning, Hainan, China at around 1:30, and the maximum wind speed near its center of the landing reaching scale 10 (28 m/s, strong tropical storm force). It gradually weakened into tropical storm after the landfall this morning.
It is expected that the center of Typhoon Prapiroon will move at a speed of about 15 km/h to northwestern direction, and will move into Beibu Gulf from Hainan Island this morning, after which the intensity will be strengthened again, heading to the coast between Guangxi in China and Vietnam.
