China boosts global meteorological cooperation and development with wider application of MAZU
​“China is willing to join hands with all nations to enable MAZU to transcend geographical boundaries, thereby safeguarding global security and development.” remarked by CHEN Zhenlin, Administrator of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) at the press conference held by the State Council Information Office (SCIO) on April 28.
The South China Sea summer monsoon fully broke out in the 1st pentad of June, marking the start of China's main flood season
According to the National Climate Centre (NCC), as of June 8, the South China Sea summer monsoon has fully developed in the 1st pentad of June 2026, which is about 3 pentads later than the climatological average (4th pentad of May), with intensity ranging from near-normal to above-normal stronger.
